Working together since 2026

I am passionate about venture because…

It scratches my competitive itch while putting me in the room with people who have a real shot at being top 0.01% in their field - and letting me work alongside them as they grow into the operators they're capable of becoming.

The one word I’d choose to describe why Bek is different is…

standards.

If I wasn’t in venture, I’d be doing…

running a biotech focused hedge fund, or directing movies

If I could have a superpower, it would be

stopping time.

A book I often recommend to people is…

The Fish That Ate the Whale, by Richard Cohen, or the MANIAC, by Benjamín Labatut

The most unexpected thing about being in venture is…

The fact that durable overperformance has very little to do with being the smartest person in the room. It comes from an almost monastic willingness to return to first principles on every single investment, to hold an uncompromising bar for what qualifies, and to do so without drift or exceptions, across decades.
